Chapter 37: Abominable Foes

After getting that message from the Archangel Gabriel, I can guess that Henrietta is coming, hopefully with her guild. If she comes with her guild and seizes the dungeon, things might become easy, and we won't need to go through as many hardships as the dungeon where I was trapped. Nonetheless, this puts me slightly at ease. With her in here, I can at least rely on her strength. Even if she's a bit annoying because of her personality, she's competent.

[You are drawing closer to the Giant Glacial Wolf Pup! Only a few more meters…]

[However, many monsters are trying to catch the small pup; hurry!]

We followed the mother to where she had her pup rapidly. In just five minutes, we were only about a few dozen meters from her nest, which was closer to a mountain range where I could sense the presence of not only the pup but several other monsters, and a big, nasty one too.

"Woah, that's one huge snow-covered mountain." I was surprised. "And this presence..."

"Even I can feel something." Baihe sighed. "Is there a huge monster in that mountain, Anna?"

"Yep, probably the boss, right, Fenrir?" I wondered.

"Yeah, but we aren't going to fight that thing! It is probably a very strong A-rank creature! Without Jack, we won't stand a single chance, kid. We'll grab that pup and get the hell out of this place!" Fenrir barked angrily.

[You've entered the [Snow Covered Mountain Of The King Of Frost]!]

[Several High Ranked Monsters have noticed your presence.]

[The King of Frost notices you.]

"It seems this entire place is the King of Frost's territory!" I said. "However, unlike the previous dungeon, this place's swarming with monsters anyway, even with the Boss's presence."

"Probably because they're the Boss' slaves." Said Fenrir. "This damn dog hid her pup in such a dangerous place, I can't believe it!"

"WOOF!"

The Giant Glacial Wolf Undead barked angrily, suddenly pointing at the faraway snowlands. Between a small forest of pine trees, there was a small cave in the mountains, and there was a group of five enormous monsters trying to get something that was hiding inside. However, they were so huge they were incapable of entering, so they were stretching their arms at it and trying to grab it however they could. 

"GRRRRHHHH…!"

The mother wouldn't allow these bastards to eat her child, as she rushed forward without even waiting for us. Dammit! Can't she just wait a bit?! Alright, I guess I'll have to join.

"Violet, come! Fenrir, take care of Baihe while I am there!" I said.

"Wait a second, Anna!" Fenrir angrily said, as he saw me rushing over Violet's body as he grew bigger and started moving rapidly, his several legs made his movement surprisingly fast.

Fenrir started chasing me down while carrying Baihe on his back, while I caught up with the Wolf Mother, who was surrounded by five nasty monsters, each one over six meters tall. They had the shape of giant gorillas standing like humans and were covered in white fur. They had sharp fangs, red-colored eyes, and enormous hands that surely packed a punch. Among the five of them, the fifth was bigger and had big white horns.

[You've been spotted by [Abominable Yeti (C Rank)] x4 and [Abominable Yeti King (B- Rank)] x1!]

[The Yeti King glares at you with hunger, ordering his four lackeys to catch you to feed his ever-growing hunger.]

The four Abominable Yetis were definitely the abominable bastards. Despite being so large, they moved incredibly quickly due to having super lanky legs, and their fists were so big they could punch the ground and shatter it while trying to catch us.

CLASH!

The Wolf Mother leaped over one of them, biting their face and gnawing their eyes and nose apart. The Yeti screamed in agony, beginning to punch her. Meanwhile, the other three Yetis directed their attention to me. Was I too tasty-looking or something? The Yeti King didn't act, though, which made things easier.

"Violet, attack them, and don't let them get closer to me!"

"KRIEEE!"

Violet suddenly grew in size using his Size Alteration Skill, and through my Spartan Army Commander Privilege, his stats skyrocketed alongside those of the Wolf Mother.

[The Effects of the [Spartan Army Commander (B Rank Privilege)] have been activated!]

[All of those qualified as [Underlings] have their Stats boosted by 30%!]

[The Effect of the {Merciless Army} Buff has been activated, increasing Attack and Defense by 25% and Skill Damage Dealt by 20% for as long as the Battle continues!]

Suddenly, red-colored marks appeared over the two as their bodies started overflowing with a red aura of power. Violet's eyes started glowing bright red as his slashing attacks using his gigantic scythes unleashed a storm of slicing winds, pushing two Yetis away from us easily!

SLASH! SLASH!

Both of them fell into the snow and rolled over. Violet's attacks managed to slice through their tough skin and fur, making them bleed all over. At the same time, deadly venoms seeped into their wounds through Violet's Venom Secretion Ability. Meanwhile, the third one slipped past Violet's berserk attacks, trying to stomp me down with its big foot as if I were a small little ant.

CLASH!

However, I swiftly evaded by boosting my speed using my Ki and the power of my physique as I changed my Dragon Tooth Knife with the power of Sunshine, unleashing Golden Dragon Flames combining Holy Light Element together with Fire. Of course, I made sure to add the extra Twin Cutter for more damage with a double slash.

BOOOM!

The Yeti was big but considerably slow at reacting in time. I was able to shower it with long-ranged slashing attacks using these golden flames, as I made their bodies burn and begin to be roasted alive.

"GRAAAH!"

Suddenly, in a fit of rage, the Yeti stomped the floor and generated several piercing icicle spikes from within the snow, attempting to catch me with those. However, I slashed the ice with my blazing knife, cutting all the ice into pieces and swiftly evading yet another giant fist descending upon my body.

"You're done for!"

I pointed my hand at the Yeti's face, blasting it with a powerful concentration of Mana and Ki—what I call a Sunshine Beam!

BOOOMM!!

The Yeti screamed in agony. As his entire face was burned, he fell to the floor, struggled, but ultimately died as my knife pierced the monster's skull. Meanwhile, both of my tamed monsters were still working on their prey. The Wolf Mother managed to weaken the Yeti she was fighting and finally tore apart one of his legs, forcing it into the ground and beginning to bite the monster's guts out. Violet, in the other case, was spending most of his MP forcing the two Yetis to step back from his scythe attacks; the venom in their wounds had them weakened enough, so I quickly decided to finish them off.

"{Sunshine Aura}"

I summoned my Sunshine Aura once more and then shaped it using my own imagination, Mana, and Ki, and fired several Light Arrows at the two Yetis at once. The two of them quickly began to step back, more fearful than ever, only for Violet to take this opportunity, abusing his insane speed to reach their backs and cleave both into two halves.

SLAAASH!

Their bodies fell to the floor, tainting the snow with the color of red blood.

"GRRHHH! GRUKAAAH!"

[The [Abominable Yeti King (B- Rank)] is furious that you've killed his underlings!]

[He has recognized your strength and is ready for battle!]

BAAAM!

The Yeti King came next, leaping towards us and hitting the floor with all his weight, shaking the ground and provoking a small earthquake, which was merely a distraction from the dozens of ice spikes emerging from the floor!

"Violet! Wolf! Evade!" I called the two of them, as they quickly began running away from the emerging Icicle Spikes that attempted to impale us alive.

"You're one tricky bastard, using an Area-of-Effect Skill right away!" I sighed. "However, I am thankful you've given us the time to take down your underlings because they're MY underlings now. {Rise}!"

[The Effects of the [Ruler of the Dead (S)] Skill has taken effect!]

[The Corpses of the Dead had taken your Mana and Ki as sufficient sacrifices for their temporary servitude!]

Mana flowed into all four Yeti corpses on the floor, and they instantly started rising back up again as zombies. The Yeti King was left flabbergasted. 

"GRAH?!" He cried, quickly summoning an enormous club made out of Ice and pointing it at his former comrades.

"Attack him with everything you've got!" I commanded the Yetis while the Wolf Mother and Violet were gasping in exhaustion.

"GRAAAH! GRUAAAH!" The Yeti King screamed in fury, attacking his former comrades and also being attacked back. The four Yetis were big and strong enough to crush some of his bones while I took care of Mama Wolf and Violet.

"I think this should work!" I rushed towards Mama Wolf, whose body was slowly falling into pieces. I combined both the Ruler of the Dead's magic effects with Mana and Ki, generating a black light. "{Undead Healing Blight}!"

The black light slowly repaired the Undead's falling body, temporarily giving her a bit more time before disappearing from the mortal world. And as for Violet, I fed him a Health Potion and a Mana Potion, and he was back to action in no time.

The Yeti King, however, was almost done. Three Yeti Zombies were crushed into piles of flesh, and the fourth one was barely holding back, as it was the one that could conjure magic the best, unleashing icicle spikes from afar and temporarily stopping the Yeti King from reaching him.

We joined as a team with the Magician Yeti Zombie. It was a B- Rank monster, not something we could ever take down alone in our wildest dreams, so we had to cooperate in this. The Wolf Mama has speed and attack; the magician Yeti has ranged attacks that can distract the Yeti King; and Violet is both speedy, strong, and mildly tanky, but against magic, he'll die instantly. 

I'll have to act as the tank here if I don't want my damaged dealers to die right away. I quickly retrieved the Bastion Shield and put it in front of me.

"Come at me, you failure of a king!" I provoked him, using my Privileges and Skills, alongside my high Charm Stat, to instantly draw his attention.

"GROOOHH!"

The Yeti King was instantly angered. He seemed to have almost run out of Mana, and raised his giant Ice Club, attempting to smash me like a rat.

"{Bastion's Fortress}!"

The shield suddenly summoned a projection resembling a fortress protecting me, as the gigantic ice-made weapon impacted the shield with incredible might.
