Chapter 23: Hunters Market

Five days later, I woke up feeling rather refreshed. I've spent the last five days resting like my brother recommended, which has been pretty much studying for online exams and cultivating my physique. By making my Mana flow across my body alongside my Ki, I can slowly yet steadily strengthen my physique. However, this method has a limit. And to bypass certain walls, I'll eventually need special, highly compatible materials to absorb into my physique to improve it faster, and even develop new abilities.

Sepa has finally begun to behave a bit better lately, and she has slowly begun to become someone I can talk to relaxedly, about any topic. Violet can't answer back so he doesn't count. She began to get nicer after feeding her sweets. And maybe a bit of shaking her jewel around.

"Kyuuh!" Violet also showed up from below the bed. Bugs really like sleeping in small and dark places.

"What I am up to? Well, what I placed in the Hunter Market should have been sold by now. After all, it is not every day that someone just shows up and begins to sell top-quality materials."

"Wait…" Sepa muttered, her mandibles beginning to crackle. "T-The things you put to sell in that weird item the Hunters created was the corpse of my Incarnation?!"

"Heh…" laughed. "You guessed right. For some reason, my brother completely forgot about Lolth's corpse, so I've taken the opportunity to dismantle her body into pieces, keep what I want for my own crafting of equipment, and sell everything else. Your little bug is surely an amazing bag of money!"

"Uunnnggh… I can't believe I poured all my savings into her and she's now… being sold for human money." Sepa sighed miserably.

"She wasn't even a person; she was just a monster!" I facepalmed. "She's the reason you got punished to begin with."

"M-Maybe you're right." She lamented.

Suddenly, a system-like window appeared in front of my eyes. This wasn't part of the System given by the Constellations, but from a high magic technology device known as the Hunter Watch, it is something like a watch and a phone that fuels Mana and connects to a special network of Hunters. In this network, we can sell products, buy from others, and more. It was specially created by another Hunter's powers granted to him by a Constellation. Some sort of Merchant God.

Though, for the things I want to buy, I don't really want to borrow money from him for the moment. "What? No, those are expensive and don't even work properly." I sighed. "Although I'll find some good materials and items in the Abandoned Temple, I also need to prepare myself well for that moment… So!"

In front of me, I was able to quickly find everyone selling these. It wasn't that many, these items were rather rare and were mostly used to create equipment for light attribute magic wielders or to make potions too. Due to their rarity, they were not that cheap, they were all just D Rank and C Rank materials, yet the cheapest bid of ten Sunlight Roots cost $2500000… Well, I guess my earnings might disappear pretty soon.

The items all quickly appeared over my bed. This Hunter Market could deposit and sell items inside of this space, and also easily retrieve them out through it as well. They were all shining brightly with Fire and Light Attribute Auras, ready to be consumed. Although eating them raw would upset my stomach, and it would be a bit disgusting to eat raw eyeballs too, so I better "cook" them out.

I quickly retrieved an [Old Alchemy Cauldron (D Rank)] that my brother purchased for me on the way back from home after getting my license, it was old but good enough to mix materials and create new stuff. Yeah, it's time to do some Alchemy now. Despite how overlooked a skill like this is, with enough Luck and Materials, you can create incredible items.

"Now…"

I slowly sliced the palm of my hand, creating a small wound. Then, I poured some Mana and Blood inside the cauldron, activating its functions. There was a special magic circle inside, carved into the metallic pot. It had many special runes for the activation of Alchemical Components.

FLUOSH!

The old-looking cauldron began shining brightly, gaining a new light and beginning to shine brightly. Its interior suddenly produced a rainbow-colored liquid, this was Liquified Mana. The cauldron responded to the blood of an Alchemist, and it easily began working once I acquired the corresponding skill.

"Alright, Sepa, Violet, help me out pouring everything inside! Also Sepa, you're going to be very useful right now, while we mix the materials, keep imbuing your Mana and Cosmic Energy inside."

"What?! What if the whole thing blows up?!" She asked furiously.

"Don't worry and just do it!" I winked at her.

"…Fine, but if you die the Constellations can't blame me for that! It was all YOUR idea, Anna!" Sepa sighed while grumpily cracking her mandibles.

"As if you didn't want me to die to begin with." I sighed.

Like that, we dropped the materials I bought with almost all of my savings inside the cauldron, mixing their essences with my Mana and then Sepa's own Mana and Cosmic Energy. At her current state, her Cosmic Energy is very weak, but it is pretty much an extension of her divinity, by adding this to items I make, their quality and effects will exponentially increase.

The Cauldron was beginning to bubble and boil the materials, as I utilized my newly acquired Alchemy Skill to fuse them through {Synthesis}, a technique within the Alchemy Skill which allowed for the combination of materials into brand new items.

A flash of bright light was unleashed from within the cauldron, covering the entire room and illuminating everything. The creation, as risky as it was, was obviously a success!

The light was so bright and divine that it almost blinded me.

"Excellent, this is what I would call an absolute cheat!" I laughed like a mad scientist.

With the combination of the Jester Reverse Fortune, my insanely low LUK, and Sepa's Cosmic Energy, I can make items several ranks above their ingredients ranks. Like this, I could probably invest the rest of my money and make HP and MP Elixirs and sell them for three, four, or even five times the original amount of money I spent buying the materials to create them. Though that would take a lot of time, nonetheless.

A Wondrous Elixir that can only be created when the power of a God is imbued into its ingredients. It contains enormous quantities of Sunlight Essence and Yang Energy. Once drank, all HP and MP will be healed in an instant, and the entire body will undergo a power-up, gaining immense power temporarily, while also leaving behind some enhancements permanently.

Because it is the only one of its kind, it is a complete mystery what other effects it might contain.

So, I've made myself an even stronger Sunlight Pill, with even better effects and that can give me, on top of the permanent effects, a temporary buff. Which is just what I need for my next endeavor.

"With this, we should be covered up with the basics, we need to buy this, and this, and this…"

I spent the rest of the day making higher-ranked potions and crafting a brand-new armor set for myself. But why was I investing so much before the week even ended? Well, it was because today I was delving into a dungeon nobody had ever gone to before.

"Should be done by now…" I placed the D Rank [Spatial Stones] in a magic circle that Sepa helped me create, and she quickly nodded and imbued her powers into it.
